The Field Engineer position is responsible to render field engineering services as required by the client and authorized by the company Manager. The individual hired for the Field Engineer position will also supervise the other employees of the company that are involved in the project (when required by the Manager).
The basic Field Engineer role functions include:
- Direct or provide on-the-job training as required.
- Prioritize and schedule work for the projects that are assigned.
- Provide field engineering, technical services for the clients.
- Communicate with the shop supervisors, managers and office staff in order to coordinate work.
- Prepare and supervise quotations for the assigned projects.
- Ensure necessary equipment and proper tools are accessible and in an excellent conditions in order to cope with the required work in an efficient manner.
Requirements
The basic requirements for the Field Engineer position are the following:
- Ability to promote solid organization image with the vendors and clients.
- Perform product training of the relevant manufacturer.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Brilliant organizational skills.
- From five years of previous experience in the related area.
- PLC experience highly required.
- Solid trigonometry, algebra as well as analytical geometry skills.
- Ability to build solid supervisor / employee relations and team effort.
- High degree of Microsoft Office, MS Windows, PC and keyboard knowledge.
- Ability to write, read and comprehend the simplest as well as the most complex instructions, memos as well as short correspondence.
