We are a global mining services company, with operations throughout North & South America, Africa and elsewhere.
We are building our finance team.
This role will be based on Elko, or possibly Salt Late City.
Join us in the role of:
Accountant Duties:
Manage the accounting transactions in accordance with IFRS for Group reporting and US GAAP local statutory reporting.
Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and manage communications with Treasury on cash calls.
Manage the annual audit process in accordance with the Group and statutory timelines.
Review of the weekly creditor reconciliation process to ensure creditor accuracy on a weekly basis.
Management of the end of month process to ensure all journals are posted and balance sheet reconciliations are completed in accordance with Group timetable.
Filing and reconciliation of country tax returns, ensure that payments are made within the prescribed deadline.
Other duties as directed.
Knowledge and skills required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field required; Studying towards a professional accounting qualification advantageous; Three (3) years prior related experience preferred; Strong technical accounting skills, understanding of accounting concepts, and comprehension of business-related implications required; Proficient with Microsoft Office required; Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
Prior experience with Sage, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics Exposure to the mining industry in an accounting or analyst function preferred Open to travel.
