Technical Support Specialist LOCATION:
Elko, NV JOB SUMMARY The Technical Support Specialist travels to remote mining sites to ensure high machine safety and reliability of Getman products through equipment commissioning, troubleshooting and repair.
RESPONSIBILITIES Create connections with the Getman customer base through promotion of Parts, Service, Training, and Preventative Maintenance programs.
Provide on-site and remote technical product support for Getman equipment.
Provide Getman customers with outstanding customer service.
Provide commissioning, troubleshooting and technical support at customer sites.
Train mining personnel on how to operate, troubleshoot and repair Getman equipment.
Conduct dealer technical capability audits.
Provide input to product issue resolution, roll out and implement product fixes and improvements determined by Product Engineering and Product Management.
Compile field service reports and product issue reports following customer site visits.
Define scope, perform and/or supervise equipment and/or component repairs and rebuilds.
Assist and follow up on product field trials and tests.
Provide input to technical inquiries and projects within the Aftermarket group.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Associates Degree in Engineering and/or High School Diploma with 5
years related experience.
Minimum 5 years heavy equipment/diesel mechanic experience.
Experience with maintaining mining machines or Getman equipment preferred.
MSHA Certification.
Skills, Talents and/or Characteristics Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment in remote locations.
Ability to handle customer complaints and provide a customer oriented solution.
Ability to be self-sufficient and self directed while traveling and working safely in remote locations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop and bend, climbing underneath machines, and working in overhead structures.
The employee is regularly required to stand and use hands and fingers.

Also, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, walk, stand, and use hands and fingers, work on a computer, talk on the phone and in person with others.
This job is based in Elko, NV.
Occasional customer support may happen in other US or International locations.
The Employee must wear the required personal protective equipment at customer sites.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
