06/14/23 to 06/28/23 Central Office Technician Job Duties:
Maintain and repair central office equipment to meet quality standards and Company practices.
Class 5 switching equipment SS7/STP equipment Voice Mail Equipment Voice over IP systems Ability to work on IP based networks.
Must perform telephone and high speed internet (data) installation and repair, meeting quality standards and Company practices.
Must be able to learn new technologies.
Must be able to install and repair all special circuits, full data circuits and FX lines.
Must be able to work when needed and in all types of weather.
Must interact with workforces to coordinate and disseminate information to complete job assignments and with other sections to attain Company service objectives.
Must maintain a professional image.
Must support and participate in promotion of Company products.
Must be physically able to perform duties of the job to include:
Lifting tools and ladders.
Climbing ladders and poles.
Work from a bucket.
Work in confined spaces.
Handle all necessary materials and supplies.
Must be able to use a computer (laptop), show that you can log on, log off, use windows, and get job assignments, sign off jobs, and do timesheets using Company provided programs with Company provided training by the end of the qualifying period.
Must pass pole climbing during the qualifying period.
Must perform other duties as assigned, provided the employee is qualified to do so Minimum
Qualifications:
Must have and maintain a valid Class D driver's license.
Must meet weight requirement for the standard (ANSI, where applicable) for all equipment provided by or available to the Company, taking into account the weight of tools & apparel Must be physically fit to perform job (must be able to lift 80 lbs).
Carry & handle a 75 lb.
Ladder on uneven ground Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving skills Must be able to work aloft, as well as confined spaces.
Understand Basics of T1 & above technology.
IP knowledge (LAN/WAN design) Understanding of basic OSP design (Copper/Fiber) Read, understand, and operate digital test gear.
Must be able to perceive differences in wire and cable colors.
Must have an understanding of basic electricity by passing a Company basic electricity test or a certificate from an outside agency.
Must be able to work shifts, days, nights, evenings (depending on tour selection) and work overtime and emergency call outs.
High school diploma or equivalent Education/Training Preferred:
Digital fundamentals and electricity theory, equivalent trade experience or certificate from an accredited outside agency.
2 year related degree A+/Network Plus certification is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
