8 Quick Apply Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description The Opportunity Jerritt Canyon is seeking an IT professional.
The successful candidate will be responsible providing efficient support including tier 2 and 3 for hardware, applications, local area network (LAN), and virtual private network (VPN) whether in person or via e-mail, phone or remote control.
The IT Specialist will be responsible for the configuration, installation, troubleshooting and repair of personal computers, printers, telephones, mobile devices, and data communications equipment; configuration and support of mobile devices; installation, configuration and support of desktop software systems; troubleshooting and resolving software and hardware problems; rotate through the role of on-call Help Desk technician on a periodic basis.
The successful candidate should have broad knowledge of all aspects of IT and the experience to contribute to the vision and leadership in all aspects of IT management.
Responsibilities Receives IT tickets and telephone calls focusing on answering computer user requests for assistance, problem solving with a goal of first call resolution, providing troubleshooting.
Provide ongoing management and resolution of IT requests and incidents that flow through the IT service desk.
Escalate tickets as required, based on priority, complexity and collaboration with other IT team members and vendors.
Assist users in person, by e-mail, phone, and remote tools.
The IT services at the Jerritt Canyon site include communication tools, audiovisual equipment and boardrooms, local area network and all company-supported applications.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and update Microsoft Operating System and company-approved applications Daily maintenance tasks, imaging computers and remediate broken clients.
Assesses and collects essential issue data relative to problem and customer information for the dispatching a work to next tier support.
Monitor and respond to incidents related to cybersecurity tools like endpoint protection and network traffic monitoring.
Lifting hardware, installing cables, and accessing hard to reach areas across the mine site.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and IT General Controls.
Provides first and second-level technical customer support; first level of support duties is receiving trouble calls, telephone and e-mail and resolving issues within scope of role, if problems need a higher level support Provide local hands on support when higher level support needs physical assistance; second-level support is solving routine technical problems remotely.
Responsible for day-to-day all computer related trouble reported by local end users.

Education and Experience Minimum of Four (4) years general IT experience preferred Bachelor Degree in computer science preferred MCSE or associates certificate preferred CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus Technical knowledge of network systems, protocols and standards Experience designing secure and reliable IT infrastructure Exceptional customer service/interpersonal skills required Hardware, software, and network troubleshooting experience Demonstrated extensive knowledge of personal computers in a networked environment including data and telecommunications equipment required Experience with network management and protocols, file shares, Office 365, Active Directory, Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Desktop Central, Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware, and cybersecurity controls.
